I understand you are going to be a sophomore this fall at Bluffton High School. What are some of the activities you participate in?

I'm in several music groups including jazz band, marching band, pep band, chamber choir, concert choir and show choir.

What instrument do you play in band?

Baritone, since fifth grade.

What are some of the band show planned for this fall?

We are going to do one of more contemporary popular music, another based on The Lion King and a third on "Earth, Wind and Fire."

What's your favorite subject in school?

Probably science.

How do you communicate with your friends?

Texting. I don't do it as often as some. Sometime no texting in a day. Other days maybe from 30 to 40 texts.

Name some of your favorite movies.

Let's see, "Inception," "Titanic," and "127 Hours."

What impressed you about "127 Hours"?

I thought it was neat how he had to think about his situation and then thought about it from other people's point of view.

What's your favorite pizza topping?

My parents brought home a ham and pineapple. I tried it and really like it.

Tell me about the worst grade you ever received in school.

In sixth grade I received a C+ in math during one honor roll. I was pretty upset. I was kind of lazy, however. I hate to admit it, but I forgot about a lot of my homework.

What's your favorite high school cafeteria food?

I like mini-corn dogs.

What are you looking forward to in school this fall?

I'm looking forward to next soccer season. I'm a mid-fielder. Last year I was on the JV and varsity team. I'd like to be on the varsity this year.

When did you start playing soccer?

When I was 4 or 5. A friend of my played and I followed him. I think the first team I was on was Bluffton Crunch. Mr. Enneking was our coach.

If you came home with a tattoo, how would your parents react?

I don't even think about it. I'd probably be dead. It's not a possibility.

You started driving recently. Tell me about it.

I started taking classes two days ago. I've had nine hours of driving. My dad took me to The Centre parking lot and we drove around in our 2006 Chevy Impala. I think the most difficult thing in driving is the responsibility. I'm constantly checking the speedometer and the rear-view mirrors. I've driven a couple times down Main Street. I've also driven once to Lima.

When is the earliest you could get your license?

Dec. 29.
