Geniece King 1928-2011
O. Geniece King, 82 of Bluffton died at 4:39 a.m. July 14, 2011 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital, Columbus. She was born Aug. 8, 1928, in Mt. Cory to Stanley and Vera Beuchler Wagner. On June 28, 1947 she married Robert King and he preceded her in death on Feb. 27, 1984.
Mrs. King retired as cafeteria manager at the Bluffton schools after 31 years. She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Bluffton, the Bluffton Senior Citizens, member of the S.H.A.N.N.O.N. Club, and a volunteer at Bluffton Hospital. She was a 1946 graduate of Mt. Cory High School.
Survivors include four sons, Wayne (Rebecca) King of Whitehouse, Daniel (Nancy) King of Columbus, Dean (Sondra) King of Bowling Green, Tim (Paula) King of Sidney, eight grandchildren, Jeffery (Nicole) Beach, Stanley (Kari) King, Jason (Patty) King, Jennifer (Chris) Evans, Ali King, Nathan King, Olivia, King Emily King, seven great grandchildren, Schelby and Gavin Beach, Aiden and Amelia King, Wendesen and Bayoushe King, Calvin Evans and a sister, Cholette (Tony) Hauter of Mt. Cory. She was preceded in death by two great grandchildren, Katherine and Jacob King.
Funeral services will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. John's United Church of Christ, Bluffton. The Rev. Carol Clements will officiate. Burial will be in Clymer Cemetery, Mt. Cory.
Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at Chiles-Laman Funeral and Cremation Services, Bluffton. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John's United Church of Christ, Bluffton Senior Citizens or Bluffton Hospital. Online condolences may be expressed at www.chiles-lamanfh.com.
