Lucille Bucher celebrates 90th with open house on Aug. 20
Lucille Bucher of Bluffton will celebrate her 90th birthday on Saturday, Aug. 20, with an open house at Maple Crest from 3-5 p.m..
She was born on Aug. 20, 1921 to Albert and Sarah Burry. She married Victor Bucher on Feb. 19, 1942. He died on June 11, 2006.
Mrs. Bucher has six children. They are Rich (Carol) Bucher of North Danvers, Ill., Norma Sommer of Bluffton; Nolan (Linda) Bucher of Elkhart Ind.; Nancy (Nick) Carney of Pataskala, Ohio; Corinne (Dave) Lee of Bluffton; and Gloria (Jan) Wiechart of Wapakoneta.
She has 19 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Mrs. Bucher is a member of Grace Mennonite Church of Pandora, and still enjoys making comfort tops for missions. She was employed by Mennonite Memorial Home and in her retirement she has volunteered at the Mennonite Memorial Home, Et Cetera Shop and presently volunteers at Maple Crest.
