Registrations accepted now for Sept. 22 chamber university business showcase
Area businesses' best opportunity to introduce themselves to Bluffton University students is Thursday, Sept. 22. This year's Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce business-university showcase takes place in Marbeck Center from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. that day.
Based on previous showcases up to 25 businesses are expected to participate. Registered businesses will have a table provided. Businesses may provide hand-outs to students and may have separate drawings for prizes during the event. No food giveaways are permitted, but businesses may give away candy.
Like past years, each student receives a "passport." It will list all the names of participating businesses. Businesses X off their own business name when the student visits your booth. When the student makes the round of businesses the student may enter the passport in the chamber's drawing box. To enter the chamber's drawing for prizes, students must visit at least 15 of the chamber booths. There are no assigned tables. Businesses may choose whichever table they want when they arrive.
A business registration form is found in a printer-friendly attachment at the bottom of this story. Entry members of the Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce is $25. Entry for non-chamber members is $40. Non-members who join the chamber during this event may have their $20 of their entry fee go toward a one-year membership in the chamber.
This business showcase is open only to Bluffton-area businesses or members of the Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce. The deadline to register is Friday, Sept. 16. For questions, contact [email protected].
