Complete details available on Sept. 3 BFR 5KRun/Walk
Bluffton residents are reminded about the upcoming 5K Run/Walk that will take place Labor Day Weekend. On Saturday, Sept. 3, between 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., runners and walkers will hit the streets to compete as well as raise funds for BFR Sports & Fitness.
Village residents are encouraged to support the racers by watching from the sidewalks. Bluffton Police will lead the racers and mark intersections where runners will cross traffic.
Please watch out for the volunteers who will direct participants and for
the racers and walkers at the end of the pack.
The course will start at BFR, follow Snider Road to Main Street then turn onto W. Riley Street. From Riley St., the participants will turn into the Mennonite Memorial Home patio homes curving around to Diller Road.
After turning right onto Elm Street the runners will make there way past the Mennonite Home (water station) and turn left onto Rosenberger Drive.
Following Rosenberger through the campus, racers will turn onto Spring Street and continue on Campus Drive and College View until hitting Lawn Ave. Facing traffic on Lawn Avenue, participants will stop for a second water station (near the elementary school playground) then turn left again onto Elm Street.
From Elm Street, racers will turn right onto Diller again to come out onto Riley Steet. The race ends from Riley to Main Street and into the Buckeye Park for the race's finish line.
