Ronald E. Conrad 1945-2011
Ronald E. Conrad, 66, of Columbus Grove died at 12:36 a.m. Aug. 27, 2011 at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima, He was born in Lima March 23, 1945 to Virgil and Arvilla Naas Conrad. On Aug. 25, 1972 he married Joyce Williams and she survives.
Ron retired from Accubuilt, Lima, where he worked as an accountant for 43 years. He graduated from Bath High School, Northwest Business College and served in the Army in Viet Nam. He was a member of Ebenezer Mennonite Church.
Survivors also include two daughters, Susie (Matt) Gilica of Cairo, Kelli (Rodney) Rider, three grandchildren, Tyler Rider and Brittany and Erica Gilica. A brother, Bobby Conrad, preceded him in death.
Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Ebenezer Mennonite Church, Bluffton. Rev. Dick Potter will officiate. Burial will be in Ebenezer Mennonite Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Chiles-Laman Funeral and Cremation Services, Bluffton. Memorial contributions may be made to Ebenezer Mennonite Church. Online condolences may be made at www.chiles-lamanfh.com.
