Friends of Library accepting donations for September book sale; seek volunteers to help
The Friends of the Bluffton Public Library group is accepting donations for a fall book sale to be held from Sept. 22 to Sept. 27 at 145 S. Main St.
Hardbound and paperback books in good condition are being accepted for the sale, as well as original copies of audiovisual material (audio books, compact disks, videocassettes and DVDs) that are in cases. Children's materials in good condition are also welcome.
Items that cannot be accepted include condensed books, textbooks, encyclopedia sets, medical and legal books more than three years old, items with extensive highlighting and/or underlining, musty and heavily- worn items.
Up to two boxes of material may be dropped off at the circulation desk during regular library hours: Monday through Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; and Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Material donations should not be placed in the drop box or left outside the building.
Anyone interested in dropping off more than two boxes of materials at one time will need to contact the library in advance to coordinate the donation with a Friends volunteer.
Volunteers are also needed to assist with sorting and transporting materials, staffing the sale and clean-up duties. If you are available to help, please e-mail the Friends of the Library at [email protected] or call 419-358-5016 to leave a message.
