Jenna Eshleman named HCAC Player of the Week
Jenna Eshleman (Landisville, Penn./Hempfield) has been named the Heartland Conference Volleyball Player of the Week for the week ending Sept. 4, 2011. It marks the third time Eshleman has been named HCAC Player of the Week for volleyball.
The senior standout led the Beavers to a 3-1 record at the Haverford College Invitational. Eshleman pounded 52 kills (13.0 per match) on 136 swings for a .257 hitting percentage. She also added 59 digs (14.75 per match), one solo block, two block assists, and a pair of service aces as the Beavers defeated Haverford, Susquehanna and Frostburg State over the weekend.
Eshleman posted a double-double in three matches, including a 17 kill, 19 dig performance against Susquehanna. Bluffton (3-1, 0-0 HCAC) will take part in the Marcia French Memorial Invitational at Case Reserve this weekend. The Beavers open with Thiel at 6 p.m. on Friday night.
