Greg Thiessen set up the game-winner with his corner kick, helping the Maple Leafs (1-3) to their first win of the season. Bluffton fell to 0-4 with the loss, their second straight in double overtime.
Goshen was on the scoreboard early with a goal by Jacob Yoder at the 10:47 mark. He was assisted by Alain Chaponniere. The Beavers fought hard, but went to the break down by that 1-0 count.
To start the second half the Beavers came out fighting and finally hit paydirt at 76:20 when Peter Carlson (Toledo/Springfield) put one in the back of the net to tie the match. Both teams fought for control of the game but regulation time ended with a score of 1-1.
