Bluffton's newest business can help you "de-stress": Absolute Body Therapy of Massage
Need to "de-stress"? Bluffton's newest business can help. Vicki Oates, licensed massage therapist, opened Absolute Body Therapy of Massage on Sept. 13 at 105 Vine St.
In opening her massage studio, Oates of Ada, says there are several benefits of a massage. These include aid in relaxation, circulation, sleeplessness, relaxation of tired muscles and even a help to cure migraine headaches.
After working at DTR as an associate and later a team leader, Oates eventually took schooling for her massage license after she herself had a massage that she describes as "an inspiration."
"I love working with others and in helping people," she said about her profession. She has several years experience working in a Columbus spa and in a Lima spa.
"I was encouraged by several persons to open a massage therapy spa in Bluffton," she said. "My goal is to provide a safe and stress-free environment along with a professional massage that leaves my clients feeling relaxed and rejuvenated."
Oates offers full body massages and chair massages. Her massages include lengths from 10-minute chair massages to 30-minute or up to 1 1/2 hour full-body massages.
Spa hours are currently Mondays and Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Fridays 9 a.m. to 4 p.m and every other Saturday starting Sept. 17 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Absolute Body Therapy of Massage offers gift certificates.
She intends to eventually be open full time in Bluffton. A grand opening is planned in October. More details will be announced.
The business telephone is 419-957-7732. E-mail is [email protected].
