Norma J. Bassitt 1934-2011
Norma J. Bassitt, 77, of Bluffton died at 2:40 p.m., Oct. 22, 2011 at Richland Manor, Bluffton, She was born Sept. 26, 1934, in Lima to Kenneth James and Lillian Dysert Harbert. She was married to Loren Bassitt who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Bassitt retired from Richland Manor, Bluffton where she was a nurse's aid.
Survivors include two sons, Frederick A. Butcher of Bellefontaine, Steven O. (Debra) Butcher of Lima, two daughters, Brenda L. Stroz of Pittsburgh, Pa., Bambi (Dean) Redd of Jenera, 13 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and a brother, Larry Harbert of Tucson, Ariz.
She was preceded in death by a son, Arthur James Carroll, a sister, Wilma Jean Cowden and a brother, Joseph Raymond Harbert.
Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Chiles-Laman Funeral and Cremation Services, Bluffton with visitation one hour prior to the service.
Burial of the cremated remains will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima. Online condolences may be expressed at www.chiles-lamanfh.com
