Make plans to attend library after-hours"whodunit"
Bluffton Public Library will host an after-hours "whodunit" Murder in the Stacks fundraiser on Friday, Nov. 4, at 6:30 p.m.
A cast of eight directed by Pat Rodabaugh will provide a fun-filled evening. "Watch as the mystery unravels before your eyes. We will need your help to figure out who commits a murder in the quiet town of Bluffton!" said youth services coordinator Rikki Steingass.
"Enjoy live music as you search for clues. Indulge in delicious appetizers and sumptuous desserts throughout the evening."
Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for senior citizens 60 and older and $10 for students 16 and older with ID. Tickets will be available at the Bluffton Public Library from Sept. 19 until Oct. 28 at 145 S. Main St.
The library extends special thanks to the Bluffton High School quartet group and Krysti's Music Studio for music, Jeanne's Kitchen for appetizers and Community Markets, the Little Black Apron and the Friends of the Bluffton Public Library for providing desserts, beverages and supplies.
"We could not have successful fundraisers without the generous support of our donors," said public relations coordinator Leslie Liberato.
"Don't miss out! Get your tickets early, enjoy the performance, put your powers of deduction to work and compete for prizes - including a framed holiday print by local artist Oscar Velasquez and a variety of other door prizes. Guests will also enjoy a special preview of the library's Holiday Gift Basket Silent Auction," said circulation coordinator Justin Crawfis.
All proceeds help the library retain service hours and essential services while it continues to operate with state funding cuts that exceed 35 percent per year. "Your support will be an investment in the community and provide a gift that keeps on giving," said director Cindi Chasse.
