October: wetter and warmer than normal

At the same time, October was warmer than normal. This year's October's average temperature was 54 degrees. The normal average is 52.1 degrees.
October's average maximum temperature was 64.5 degrees and the average minimum temperature was 43.5 degrees.
The high temperature reading in October was 83 degrees on Oct. 8. The minimum was 29 degrees on Oct. 30.
The 2011 growing season ended on Oct. 28 when the low temperature reached 32 degrees.
