Margaret Core, 1924 -2011
Margaret J. Core, 87, of Pandora died at 11:35 p.m. Nov. 15, 2011 at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima. She was born Feb. 22, 1924 in Bluffton to Charles W. and Dorothy J. Allstaetter Young. On Dec. 19, 1946 she married Ray V. Core Jr. and he preceded her in death on July 15, 1996.
Mrs. Core was a homemaker and had worked at Triplett Corp., Bluffton. She was a graduate of Bluffton High School.
Survivors include three sons, Lennis C. (Linda) Core, David R. (Chery) Core and Mark A. (Mary) Core all of Pandora, five grandchildren, William Core, Greggory (Jessica) Core, Lindsay Core, Alisa (Matt) Herman, Darrin Core, four great grandchildren, Hailey Core, Connor Core, Holiday Herman and Blair Herman.
Also surviving are four sisters, Janet (Wayne) Matter, Joyce (Richard) Hauenstein and Peggy Bowyer all of Bluffton, Mary Lou Cookson of Elizabeth City, N.C., a sister in law, Barbara Young of Bluffton, and her best friend, her cat Buddy. She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Young.
Graveside services will be held in Truro Cemetery, Columbus Grove, at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Bluffton Hospital or St. Rita's Hospice.
