Harley D. Augsburger 1920-2011
Harley D. Augsburger, 91 of Bluffton died at 2:20 a.m. Dec. 9, 2011, at Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton. He was born Feb. 7, 1920 in Bluffton to Walter and Leona Burkholder Augsburger.
He was married to Estelle Bogart and she preceded him in death in 1953. On May 29, 1954 he married Glenna Mae Reiter and she died Sept. 13, 2006.
Harley had worked at Triplett Corporation, Bluffton for 30 years. He was a member of the First Missionary Church, Bluffton. He enjoyed watching football and graduated from Bluffton High School.
Surviving are two sons Dean (Judy) Augsburger and Bruce (Keith Johnston) Augsburger both of Bluffton; a daughter Linda (John) Waisanen of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; four grandchildren and one great grandchild.
He is survived by two sisters, LaVaun Altman of Findlay and Josephine Burkholder of Bluffton.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, a great grandson; two brothers Wade and Glenn Augsburger; four sisters Grace Taylor, Colleen Seyer, Barbara Augsburger and Gladys Augsburger.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday Dec. 12, 2011, at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton. Rev. Gary Marks officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Bluffton.
Visitation will be from Sunday 2-6 p.m. at the funeral home.
