Icon will pass the one-half millionth view in 2012
In 2011 The Bluffton Icon continued to rack up an impressive growth of total views and individual viewers, according to its owners Fred and Mary P. Steiner. During 2012 the Icon's total views will reach one-half million. As of Dec. 31, The Icon has had 443,197 total views since it was launched in September 2009.
During a typical 30-day period in 2011, the Icon received nearly 6,000 views from persons with a Bluffton address, 2,200 from Lima and 1,060 from Findlay. These figures are from Google Analytics. From 85 to 90 percent of its views come from a 25-mile radius of Bluffton.
During 2011, The Icon experienced 253,020 total views. Those total views came from 62,160 individuals. Also during 2011, The Icon experienced 703,066 total page views. Viewers averaged reading 2.78 pages per visit and remained on The Icon for an average of 2 minutes and 40 seconds during each visit.
Of the 253,020 total views, 202,077 came from Ohio.

The Riley Creek flood of Feb. 28 brought the highest daily number of views to the Icon. On the 28th The Icon experiences 3,472 views. That high number continued with 1,557 views on March 1.
The Icon launched on Sept. 24, 2009. Since that date total views reached 443,197. Individual viewers totaled 107,216.
