3 Bluffton runners in new year's eve race
Three Bluffton runners participated in the 11th annual Midnight Special 5K in Whitehouse. The race started at 11:45 p.m. Jan. 31, 2011, and finished in the new year. The race is on the Cannonball Trail.
There were a total of 329 runners.
Jonathan Nisly was sixth in the 15-19 men's age group, 20th overall. His time was 19:42.
Hannah Chappell-Dick was second in the 15-19 women's age group, 21st overall, third woman overall. Her time was 19:45.
Mary Pannabecker Steiner was first in the 55-59 women's age group, 107th overall. Her time was 24:40. This was her fifth time in the race. It was the first for Nisly and Chappell-Dick, both students at Bluffton High School.
