Gloria Cupples 1928-2012
Gloria J. Cupples, 83, of Findlay died at 8:45 am Feb. 12, 2012, at the Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton. She was born in Bluffton on Feb. 26, 1928 to Harry D. and Mary Martha King Hauenstein. On Nov. 16, 1946 she married Arlo Dean Cupples and he preceded her in death on June 15, 1997.
Mrs. Cupples was a homemaker. She and her husband owned and operated Tawa Valley Kennels. She was a volunteer at the Hancock County Board of Elections. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church, Findlay, and a 1946 graduate of Pandora High School.
Survivors include four sons, Terry L. (Guyla) Cupples of Canyon Lake, Calif., Jerry D. (Sonia) Cupples of Bluffton, Gene D. (Bonnie) Cupples of League City, Texas, Jeffrey A. (Peggy) Cupples of Vanlue, two daughters, Nancy (David) Ernest of Bluffton, Patricia (Mark) Kidder of Lorain, 16 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, a brother, Kenneth (Geraldine) Hauenstein of Findlay and a sister, Ruby (John) Vermilya of San Diego, Calif. She was preceded in death by a great granddaughter, two brothers, Harry Hauenstein Jr., Russell Hauenstein and a sister, Ruby Blunk.
Funeral services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Chiles-Laman Funeral and Cremation Services, Bluffton. Pastor Mike Spann will officiate. Burial will be in Clymer Cemetery, Mt. Cory. Visitation will be from 4-8 pm Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Mennonite Memorial Home. Online condolences may be expressed at www.chile-lamanfh.com.
