It's all about international culture
About 200 people shared an evening of international culture as Bluffton University's annual Global Weekend concluded on Saturday, Feb. 11.
Among the flag-bearing Bluffton students entering The Commons in Marbeck Center were sophomores (left to right) Sandra Vimbiso of Zimbabwe, Cincinsoko Akanya of Nigeria and Ntekesha Mbala, representing the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Following an ethnic meal was a variety and fashion show. Modeling clothing from their native Ethiopia were senior Meron Dibia (foreground) and junior Maryam Telahun (in red), along with Lauren Canaday (back left), a junior from Northwood, Ohio.
Bluffton's International Connection group sponsored the weekend, which also included a Friday night screening of the 2010 South African film, "Life, Above All."
