Shane Shockey 2012 NCAA Division II national champion pole vaulter
Three Bluffton High School graduates finished in the top 9 or higher in the NCAA Division II national Track and field meet in Mankato, Minn., March 9-10.

oBassett, a junior, from Ashland University, finished 9th in the pentathalon. She competed in five events, which were the 60 meter hurdles, high jump, shot put, long jump and 800 meter run.
oShockey, a senior, University of Findlay, won the pole vault at 17 feet, three-fourth inches.
oGuagenti, a senior, University of Findlay, was 4th in the 400 in a time of 48.04. He was a member of a 4x400 relay that finished 6th. The relay's time was 3:15.99.
Findlay's men's team finished 4th in the nation at the meet with 35 points.
