Hazel Austin 1919-2012
Hazel Marie Austin, 93, of Bluffton died at 9:05 a.m., March 25, 2012 at the Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton. She was born March 1, 1919, near Lafayette, to John Henry and Marie Howe Klingler. In 1945 she married Robert Austin and he preceded her in death in 1998.Mrs. Austin retired from the Chrysler Jeep Corp., Toledo. She attended Ebenezer Mennonite Church, Bluffton.
Survivors include three grandchildren, Denise (Lorry) Hansen of New Castle, Ky., Sarita (Kevin) Reine of Clarksville, Tenn., Dennis (Samantha) Miskell of Castroville, Calif., seven great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren, a brother, James (Donna) Klingler of Ada, a sister-in-law, Pauline Klingler of Bluffton, a niece, Julie Herr of Bluffton and a nephew, John Klingler of Cairo, Egypt.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Shirley Miskell, a grandson, Dean Miskell, two brothers, Russell and Roy Klingler and two sisters, Doris Everett and Dorthy Bagley.
Funeral services will begin at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Chiles-Laman Funeral and Cremation Services, Bluffton. Rev. Charles Warren and Kathy Brauen will officiate. Burial will be in New Castle Cemetery, New Castle, Ky.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Mennonite Memorial Home, Ebenezer Mennonite Church or Putnam County Hospice. Online condolences may be expressed at www.chiles-lamanfh.com.
