Donna Badertscher 1923-2012
Donna Badertscher, 88, of Bluffton died at 5:07 a.m. April 16, 2012, at the Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton. She was born June 19, 1923 in Hoytville to Floyd and Hester Boyer Dishong. On July 22, 1944 she married Lester Badertscher and he preceded her in death on Jan. 9, 1997.
Mrs. Badertscher was a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening and reading. She was a member of St. John Mennonite Church, Pandora and a graduate of Hoytville High School.
Survivors include two daughters, Dian (Darrel) Grismore and Lynda (Donald) Sterrett both of Bluffton, four grandchildren, Todd Grismore, Christy Guyton, Matthew Sterrett, Scott Sterrett and four great grandchildren, Shalen and Brenna George, Gavin Guyton and Madelyn Sterrett. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and John Dishong.
Funeral service will begin at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Chiles-Laman Funeral and Cremation Services, Bluffton. Daniel J. Amstutz will officiate.
Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Bluffton. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Chiles-Laman Funeral and Cremation Services, Bluffton.
