Melissa "Missy" Calvelage, 1976-2012
Melissa "Missy" A. Calvelage of Bluffton, and formerly of Ft. Jennings died at 9:55 a.m. April 17, 2012, at Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center surrounded by her family and friends.
She was born Dec. 6, 1976, in Lima to John and Sharon (Lammers) Calvelage who survive in Bluffton. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Ada, Catholic Ladies of Columbia. She was a Gold Award Girl Scout. She was a graduate of Ft. Jennings High School and Vantage Vocational School in Van Wert.
Survivors also include two brothers Matthew (Carrie) Calvelage of Ft. Jennings, Michael (Brenda) Calvelage of Lima; a sister Marlena (Shawn) Ballinger of Jenera; a maternal grandmother Henrietta Calvelage of Kalida; three nephews Dane Calvelage, Troy Calvelage, Landon Calvelage; three nieces Hunter Calvelage, Hannah Ballinger, Hailey Ballinger; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by a paternal grandfather Thomas Calvelage and maternal grandparents Norman and Irene Lammers.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Ada. Father David Young officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 2-8 p.m. at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton, where a Catholic Ladies of Columbia service will be held at 8 p.m. A private committal service will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to Coleman Behavioral Health, Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center or Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.
