Richland Manor resident proves that spirit of serving others doesn't diminish with age
Barry Schneck of Richland Manor, related the following interesting story to The Icon:
"Our commitment and dedication to providing exceptional customer service that exceeds our customers' expectations are the cornerstones of our campus culture.
"Our great services are delivered by a compassionate and professional team of caregivers, resulting in a senior living experience that allows our residents to live truly meaningful lives," says Jackie Short, Executive Director at Richland Manor.
"Beyond our commitment to providing exceptional customer service, we also embrace a servant leadership culture at Richland Manor, where serving our customers, including our employees, and leading by example are a primary focus."
Recently, residents at Richland Manor proved that they also embraced the servant leadership culture when one resident, Melinda, discovered it was another resident, Loretta's, birthday.
Believing that everyone should have a special celebration on a birthday, Melinda contacted a local pizzeria and had pizza delivered for the two of them to share.
"It's such a pleasure to see our residents engaging in meaningful and social interactions with one another. The staff and residents here are truly like family," said Short.
"I care so much about Lorretta. She is one of my many friends here and I knew she would love to have some pizza for supper," said Melinda, about the event.
Lorretta reaction follows: "Melinda completely surprised me with a pizza. Besides all the staff does here for my birthday, this was just the thing to make my birthday very special."
