Lots of Middle School news released today
Bluffton Middle School released several announcements today. Those follow:
The 2011-12 yearbooks are in.
Lifetouch sent us additional yearbooks to be sold. The cost is $23 for a softback yearbook which includes a "Year in the Life" review at the back of the book. Checks can be made out to BMS.
Boys Basketball Camp
Todd Boblitt will be holding a basketball camp for boys going into grades 1st-4th (9:00-11:00) and boys going into grades 5th-8th (12:00-2:00) on June 4-7 at Bluffton High School. Stop in the office and pick up a registration form or download one by clicking on "Boys Basketball Camp" in the right hand column of this page. Cost is $25.
Volleyball
Any 6th or 7th grade girl interested in playing volleyball next year needs to sign up in the office. There will be a brief meeting held after school on Friday, May 4th from 3:15-3:30 in the MS cafeteria to discuss the summer schedule.
Any 8th grade girl interested in playing volleyball next year should attend a meeting this Friday, May 4th from 3:30-3:45 in the MS cafeteria. This meeting will take the place of the one originally scheduled on May 3rd.
Jr High Girls Basketball
Any 6th-7th grade girl interested in playing basketball next year needs to see Mr. Smith in room 109 for open gym times and summer camp information!
Bluffton University cheerleading camp
The Bluffton University Cheerleaders will be hosting a 2012 Cheer camp on Saturday, June 23 from 9-11 a.m. at Dwight Salzman Stadium (football stadium) for current 3rd thru 8th grade girls. The cost is $20 per person which includes a commemorative 2012 Cheer Camp t-shirt. Proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life of Bluffton. Registration forms are in the MS office or you can download a form from the right hand column of this screen under " BU Cheer Camp". Registration deadline is June 2nd.
Spring Dance
Student Senate will be holding a "Hawaiian Dance" on Friday, May 4th in the BMS cafetorium from 7:00-10. Admission is $3.00 with concessions also being sold.
Basketball Open Gym (Boys & Girls)
Girls Basketball Open Gyms: Tues and Thurs from 6:30-8:00 p.m. in the BHS Gym for any 6th-8th grade girl.
Boys Basketball Open Gyms: Mon, Weds & Sunday evenings from 7-8:30 in the BHS gym for any 8th grade boy.
Attention sixth grade parents
Students that are currently in the 6th grade are required to have a Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis) vaccination prior to the start of the 2012-13 school year. A letter was sent home with your child's grade card on March 30th. If you did not receive a copy of this letter, click on "TDAP Vaccination" in the right hand column of this page to view a copy of it.
Spring pictures
Students who were unable to get their picture taken on March 20th for Spring Pictures can go to Lifetouch/Studio One Studios in Lima on Saturday May 12th. Call 419-228-1111 to schedule an appointment.
Girls summer camp at ONU
Ohio Northern University & the American Association of University of Women will be offering a camp for any 6th or 7th grade girl interested in attending an engineering, mathematics and science camp at ONU on July 15th-18th. There will be hands on activities in math, science, and computers at this overnight camp. Any 6th or 7th grade girl interested needs to stop in the office and pick up an information sheet or you can click in the right hand column on this page under "CAMP GEMS" to download the information. Application deadline is June 1st.
