Mutt Strutt and Canine Carnival May 19 in Lima
A Lotta Love Pet Rescue, a tax-exempt animal welfare organization, will hold its annual "Mutt Strutt and Canine Carnival" fund raising dog walk on Saturday, May 19, in the Farout Park Amphitheater in Lima, according to David Baumgartner of Bluffton.
The event starts at 10 a.m. rain or shine with silly dog contests such as best tail wag and raffles of dog and cat items, to raise money for its activities, which include supplying free pet food to users of the West Ohio and Bluffton Food Banks and providing low cost spay and neuter of feral cats at Metz Petz Veterinary Clinic in Ada.
"All donations are fully tax deductible and since we have no building as all our animals live in foster homes and since we have no paid staff, every cent donated goes directly to help the helpless animals," said Baumgartner.
He continued: "If you have a dog you may wish to join in the fun and let your dog play with the others and bug your friends and neighbors for donations to turn in at the event. The object, of course, is to raise money, so if you cannot attend but are an animal lover, please consider donating to help the furbabies by sending a check to the undersigned payable to "A Lotta Love Pet Rescue". "
You willl receive a receipt for your tax records and will be the cause for rejoicing by humans and dogs alike.
