Bluffton Diamond Sports will have 26 raffle drawings in June; tickets now on sale
A summer fundraiser by Bluffton Diamond Sports will provide 26 raffle drawings in June where participants could win anywhere from $25 or $50.
Here's how it works:
Raffle tickets are available at $10 each. Each ticket purchased is good for cash drawings every Monday through Saturday for the month of June, making 26 drawings. There are no drawings on Sundays. The prize value of each day is listed on each ticket. Each ticket has the ability to be a multiple winner through the entire month.
When the ticket is drawn, a check will be sent to the winner based on the ticket stub information.
Raffle tickets will be available during the Saturday, May 12, arts and crafts show. Tickets will be sold in front of Sports Warehouse.
Tickets are also available in May at the vilage park concession stand any evening (Monday through Friday), typically from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
According to Bluffton Diamond Sports leaders, the raffle ticket fundraiser assists with keeping up operations and equipment since registration fees alone do not cover all of our expenses.
This is the only fundraiser BDS is doing this year, as no flower sale/fundraiser is planned. There are a lot of expenses in running this organization for over 150 children, which includes everything from league fees for each team, paying umpires at the junior high level, buying the hats/visors the children get to keep, new balls for home games, purchasing sand and stone for the park, paying for field maintenance, to equipment (bats, helmets, catchers' equipment) and uniforms.
BDS is a non-profit organization run by volunteers.
