Marissa Schutz winner of Barbara Fleming Memorial Scholarship
Marissa Schutz, a Pandora-Gilboa High School senior, is the 2012 winner of the Barbara Fleming Memorial Scholarship sponsored by Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio, (MHCO), Bluffton.
Schutz is the daughter of John and Marcia Schutz. This annual award provides scholarship support to a student pursuing a degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse, a Registered Nurse or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
Barbara Fleming, in whose honor the scholarship is made possible, a resident of Mennonite Memorial Home from 1997-2000, was trained as a nurse and throughout her life exhibited the caring nature that characterizes the profession of nursing.
Schutz plans to attend either Indiana Wesleyan University or Mount Vernon Nazarene University this fall.
