"Toys of the Past" theme of two MHCO programs
Mennonite Memorial Home held its annual Women's Celebration with two programs on May 21 and May 22.
The first featured a catered meal by Special Occasions and a guest speaker, Anne Stratton. Her presentation was "Toys of the Past."
The second program featured Ron Friesen, an MHCO duplex resident, as the guest speaker. Friesen brought some of his vintage toy collection and spoke on various items.
Residents and their guests were invited to bring an old toy to share. Items that were brought in to share included several dolls, a play iron, play sewing machine, cast iron toy horse and a German-made china tea set.
