Dreams do come true - just ask Richland Manor resident Michelle Cardone
Dreams do come true. Just ask Michelle Cardone, a resident of Richland Manor. Michelle recently took a swim and spent an afternoon on the beach.
You see, a day on the beach was something that she had dreamed about doing. And while basking in the sun and swimming in the clear water was a distant memory, she actually did visit a beach. Her visit was through the Live a Dream program offered by Trilogy Health Systems, the parent company of Richland Manor.
Richland Manor took her for a day of fun in the sun at Ottawa Metro Park Lake, Lima. There she swam, floated, and soak up the sun on her day out.
The ability to grant wishes for campus residents is part of Richland Manors' Live a Dream program. The purpose of this program is to demonstrate Richland Manor's commitment to their residents by identifying and granting special wishes and lifelong dreams.
The health campus, with assistance from staff, resident family members, and the campus' parent company (Trilogy Health Services, LLC), helps to fund these wishes for the campus residents.
"Michelle enjoyed herself and said it was one of the best days she has had. It was an honor to make this dream come true for her," Jackie Short Richland Manor executive director said.
"Everything at a Trilogy campus is focused on our customers' preferences and helping them have strong social connections, and engagement and purpose, while also providing options for clinical care."
"We have a great group of dedicated caregivers at Richland Manor," she said. "We strive to provide quality services that exceed our residents' and families' expectations, and we are thrilled that we were able to make a special wish in someone's life a moment to remember."
