Scattered thundershowers today says AEP
AEP provided The Icon with the following weather update for July 19: A cold front will sink into northern Ohio this afternoon.
With a warm and humid air mass in place, the front will help focus
scattered strong thunderstorms. The thunderstorms will develop by early
afternoon in northern Ohio and move slowly southeast through the afternoon and evening.
AEP Ohio's Ohio Valley and Athens Districts are most likely to experience problems with winds gusting to 50 mph in the strongest storms.
Elsewhere across the AEP East Utilities today...scattered thunderstorms
will produce mainly heavy rainfall with few problems expected.
On Thursday...more severe thunderstorms may impact Kentucky Power, southern AEP Ohio & APCo as an upper-level disturbance crosses the region.
