Bluffton team champs of Northwest Pony League
Bluffton's Pony League baseball recently won the Northwest Pony League title. With a final record of 8-2, the Bluffton Diamond Sports team played games during the months of June and July.
The Northwest Pony League is made up of teams from Elida, Lima Senior, Ada, Upper Scioto Valley, Waynesfield, Lima Central Catholic, Perry and Bluffton.
Bluffton beat Waynesfield and LCC during tournament play to earn the first seed spot going into the final game. Bluffton came out on top in the championship game with a final score of 16-8.
The team, made up of 6th-8th grade boys from Bluffton and Bath, was coached by Dave Bracy and Dan Bowden.
