Mabel L. Tabler was born in Beaverdam
Mabel L. Tabler, 88, died at 1:58 p.m., July 26, 2012, at Putnam Acres Care Center, Ottawa.
She was born Sept. 1, 1923, in Beaverdam to William and Laura Hopkins Bridges. On Oct. 26, 1941, she married Russell Tabler, who died Sept. 15, 1989.
Mrs. Tabler had been a cook at Columbus Grove schools for several years. She attended Columbus Grove Christian Church.
Survivors included two sons: Larry (Marge) Tabler, Columbus Grove, and Jerry (Jo) Tabler, Bluffton, a daughter-in-law Vicky Tabler, Elida, and 12 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
She was preceeded in death by a son, Garry Tabler, who died in the fall of 2011; six brothers, Clarence, Charles, William, Wilmer, John and Glen Bridges; and three sisters, Kate Ladd, Isadore Engle and Ladonna Muter.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Monday at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove. Pastor Dave Thompson will official. Burial is in Salem Cemetery, Westminster.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to services Monday at the funeral hmoe.
Memorials may be made to Putnam Acres Care Center or Putnam County Hospice.
