Join the parade! Blaze of Lights parade invitations in the mail soon
Who doesn't like a parade? The Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce Blaze of Lights Committee invites Icon viewers, area businesseses, churches, service organizations, to consider entering this year's Blaze of Lights parade.
Over 200 parade invitations are going out this week to area organizations, according to Junior Weihrauch of Arlington, the Blaze parade chairperson. Last year's parade had nearly 85 entries. Weihrauch says that he hopes for a 100-unit parade this year.
This year's Blaze theme is "A Victorian Christmas."
This year's parade is Saturday, Nov. 24. The parade lineup in on Snider Road beginning at 4 p.m. The parade starts at 5 p.m. New this year is a change in the Blaze schedule.
The Ream Holiday Folk Art display lights will be turned on at 6 p.m., immediately following the parade. In previous years the lights went on at 7 p.m.
Additional Blaze details will be released later this summer. A parade application form is an attachment to this story.
