Alley Cats to open Bluffton University Artist Series on Aug. 30
Tickets are still available for the opening performance in the 2012-13 Bluffton University Artist Series, by The Alley Cats at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, in Yoder Recital Hall.
Tight harmonies, a cappella energy and universal humor describe the doo-wop group, which blends musical talent and comedic timing while singing the greatest songs of the 1950s and '60s.
Premiering at Fullerton College in California, The Alley Cats have appeared on TV and radio and at Disneyland and numerous other venues. In March 2012, they were the opening act for Jay Leno in Las Vegas.
Tickets can be purchased on the Web, at http://tickets.bluffton.edu. Prices are $25 for adults and $20 for senior citizens and students. Five-concert season tickets are also available, at $80 for adults and $70 for senior citizens and students. A family pass is $55 with the purchase of any season ticket.
