And now for our halftime entertainment...here's the BHS marching band!
Let's have a little fun before school starts. Bluffton High School's summer band camp is now behind us, but the photos live on.
Thanks to Rachael Lewis, The Icon can share lots of band camp memories with Icon viewers - including BHS band alumni who know the drill and who have been there.
We provide three sets of photos for your enjoyment.

Day 2
Day 3
And while on the subject, here's another plug for band alums to join in the alumni band fun happening on a football field near you soon:
Former Bluffton High School marching band members are invited to join the 2012-2013 Bluffton High School marching band for the pre-game football show on Friday, Aug. 31.
Lewis said, "This includes horns, woodwinds, percussion, flags and majorettes. Those who are able are welcome to march down from the high school to the field with the band prior to the game."
Practice will be held in the high school band room on Sunday, Aug. 26, from 2 p.m.- 4 p.m. A practice on the football field will be held on Thursday, August 30, from 7:30 p.m.- 9 p.m.
Lewis, assistant marching band director, is coordinator for the alumni band night. RSVP is required. Participants are encouraged to obtain their own instruments. Please send questions and RSVPs to [email protected]
