Public Docket - August 31, 2012

August 2
-An E. Elm St. resident reported unauthorized charges on her credit card. 
August 3
-Officers responded to a complaint of Domestic Violence at a W. Riley St. residence. 
August 4
-A N. Main St. business reported having harassment issues with a former employee.
August 6
-A S. Main St. business reported unknown persons were filing false claims about the business. 
-A Railroad St. resident reported being continually harassed by an ex-girlfriend’s current boyfriend. 
August 9
-Officers responded to an injury hit-skip traffic crash at the intersection of S. Main St. and Kibler Streets.  After a short investigation, Lance Baker, 23, Columbus Grove, was issued a citation for Leaving the Scene of a Crash, Driving Under Suspension, and Assured Clear Distance Ahead. The case was handled in Lima Municipal Court and Mr. Baker was found guilty of all charges brought against him. 
August 11
-The owner of a rental property reported severe damage done to the property by previous tenants.
August 12
-A wallet was turned in to police after it was found in the roadway on Commerce Lane.  
-Police arrested Matthew Aguirre, 22, Columbus Grove, for Driving Under Suspension following a traffic stop on Columbus Grove-Bluffton Road for an equipment violation.  During the stop, officers also charged David Rodriguez, 19, Columbus Grove, for Possession of Marijuana and Nicholas Okuley, 18, Columbus Grove, for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. All three cases are pending in Lima Municipal Court. 
August 13
-Officers took a civil complaint from a Magnolia Lane resident involving property that was taken for repair and never returned.  
August 18
-Officers responded to a State Route 103 business in response to a complaint of Domestic Violence.   
-A Greding St. Resident reported several items being stolen from a storage unit he was renting on College Ave.   
August 20
-Police responded to a Vance St. residence in reference to a deceased person.
August 21
-Officers took a theft complaint from a Vance St. resident. 
August 22
-Police responded to the Nature Reserve in regards to a subject suffering from mental health issues. 
August 25
-Police responded to a State Route 103 business in response to a fight complaint.   August 28
-A N. Main St. business filed a telephone harassment complaint. 
-Officers responded to a hit-skip traffic crash in the 100 Block of S. Main St. 
-Officers responded to an injury traffic crash in the 100 Block of Vance St.  Charges are pending and the crash is still under investigation. 
August 30
-Police responded to the 9000 Block of Bentley Road in regards to a non-injury traffic crash. Justin Fruchey, 30, Beaverdam, was issued a citation for Failure to Maintain Reasonable Control. The case is pending in Bluffton Mayor’s Court. 
August 31
-Officers responded to a hit-skip traffic crash in the 100 Block of W. College Ave.  Charges are pending and the crash is still under investigation.
