Adin C. Justus was a U.S. Army veteran
Adin C. Justus, 85, died at 6 a.m. Sept. 16, 2012, at the Gables in Marysville, Ohio. He was born June 19, 1927 in Galina, Ohio to Adin E. and Jessie Freshwater Justus. On March 14, 1953 he married Marilyn McDonald and she died Feb. 6, 2004.
Adin retired from Sheller-Globe. He was a member of Lima Baptist Temple. He was a veteran of the United States Army.
Survivors include a son Danny (Connie) Justus of Columbus Grove; two daughters Linda (Harold) Crawford and Suzanne McPheron both of Columbus Grove; two sisters Mary Lou Carter of New York and Marcella Hicks of Marysville; 13 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; and 8 great great grandchildren. He also raised his great granddaughter Shelly.
He was preceded in death by a son Michael Justus; four great great grandchildren; two brothers Bill Justus and Jesse Justus; and three sisters May Montgomery, Margaret Lantz, and Frances Bowersmith.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton. Rev. Gary Hohman officiating. Burial will be in Rockport Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted at the cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
