Ruth Green was a 1941 Beaverdam high School graduate
Ruth M. Green, 90 of Rockport died at 7:25 a.m. Oct. 1, 2012, at Richland Manor Nursing Home. She was born June 9, 1922, in Lima to Ernest and Florence (Cook) Freet. On Dec. 24, 1946 she married Robert H. Green and he survives.
Mrs. Green was a homemaker and had worked at the Kewpee for 15 years. She was a member of the Rockport United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and the Friendly Neighbor Club. She was a 1941 graduate of Beaverdam High School.
Survivors also include a son Ronald (Linda) Green of Columbus Grove; and a granddaughter Laura (Bernie) Bellmann of Bluffton.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton. Pastor Michael Downey officiating. Burial will be in Rockport Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Beaverdam Fire & Rescue Squad or Rockport United Methodist Church.
