Gerald Kidd retired from Beaverdam grain elevator
Gerald E. Kidd, 93 died at his residence at 6:00 AM November 24, 2012.
He was born June 20, 1919 in Allen County to Cloyce and Lola (Cook) Kidd. On February 1, 1943 he married Mary E. Holt and she died January 25, 2005.
Gerald was a lifelong farmer and retired from the Beaverdam Grain Elevator. He was a member of Rockport United Methodist Church. Gerald served in World War II as a Corporal with Company A 504th Military Police serving in Germany, Italy and Africa.
Survivors include two daughters Donna L. Kidd of Bluffton, Betty L. Kidd of Ottawa; four sons Robert E. (Nancy) Kidd of Ottawa, Jerry L. (Linda) Kidd of Findlay, Daniel R. (Victoria) Kidd of Atlanta, Georgia, David A. (Jan) of Columbus Grove; nine grandchildren Brian (Amy) Kidd, Chad (Amy) Kidd, Kristine (Pete) Kern, Bethany (Jon) Boyer, Kevin Kidd, Lindsay Kidd, Hailey Kidd, Anthony Kidd, Todd Kidd; and six great grandchildren Owen Michael Kidd, Austin Robert Kidd, Morgan Elizabeth Kern, Luke Alexander Kern, Ian Edward Kern, and Knox Christopher Kidd
A brother E. Wayne Kidd and a sister Helen Mayberry preceded him in death.
Services will be 10:30 AM Tuesday at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton. Pastor Larry Kreps officiating. Burial will be in Rockport Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 2-8 PM at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Northwest Ohio Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
