$350 in prizes offered in Bluffton residential holiday lighting contest
Bluffton residents are invited to enter this year’s Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce residential Christmas lighting contest.
Here’s how it works:
The contest is open to any residence within the Village of Bluffton corporation limits. The corporation expanded this year, so, for example, residents on Dixie Highway south to and Southgate Lanes are now eligible to enter the contest.
Send a photo of your yard display to [email protected]. (The photo will not be judged; it’s simply a point of references for the judges). Provide your name and specific address in the e-mail.
On the e-mail message line write: Residential lighting contest entry.
If you’d prefer, you may drop off a photo with your name and address to Beasley at Citizens National Bank.
Entries will be accepted until 5 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 12. Winners will be announced later in the week.
Three prizes will be awarded this year:
First place - $200 cash prize
Second place - $100 cash prize
Third place - $50 cash prize.
Prizes will be in the form of Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce gift certificates.
The judges will visit all yard displays that have been entered by residents. They have the option of judging other residential displays.
Yard plaques will be placed in the lawns of winners
