Bluffton University will host Community Day at a men’s and women’s basketball doubleheader versus Rose-Hulman on Saturday, Dec. 8, in the new Sommer Center for Health and Fitness Education.
Anyone presenting a Community Day advertisement from this week’s Bluffton News or the Bluffton Icon website will be admitted free to the doubleheader. The Bluffton women will face Rose-Hulman on Copeland Court beginning at 1 p.m., followed by the men’s game at 3 p.m.
Before the men’s game, Larry and Shirley Copeland of Findlay, Ohio, will be recognized for their naming gift to the facility. Larry Copeland, a 1965 Bluffton alumnus, is a member of the university board of trustees and co-chaired the recently concluded Extending Our Reach—The Campaign for Bluffton, which raised more than $32.75 million for operations, endowment and the new building.
