Charles J. Neal, 1938 - 2012
Charles J. Neal, 76 of Bluffton, Ohio died Dec. 17, 2012 at 12:30 PM at St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima.
He was born November 11, 1938 in Dewitt, Illinois to John F. and Elsie M. (Sherman) Neal. On November 22, 1958 he married Freada Meadows and she survives.
He had been a gravedigger in Pythian Ridge Cemetery, Sturgis, Kentucky working with Whitsell Funeral Home. He had also been a heavy equipment operator. He attended Lima Community Church where he volunteered his time in grounds keeping.
Survivors also include a daughter Anita (Pastor Mike) Huckins of Elida, Ohio; two sons John Neal of Shelbyville, Kentucky, Jeffrey (Tanya) Neal of Delphos, Ohio; four grandchildren; ten great grandchildren and a sister Julie Wooten of Riverside, California.
A brother Raymond Neal preceded him in death.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Lima Community Church, Lima, Ohio. Pastor Mike Huckins officiating. Burial will be held at a later date in Pythian Ridge Cemetery, Sturgis. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
