BAMA pulpit exchange Sunday - here's who's preaching where
On Sunday, Jan. 13, some Bluffton clergy will be playing a form of 'musical chairs' with their pulpits.
In recognition of the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, the Bluffton Area Ministerial Association (BAMA) mixes things up a bit with a pulpit exchange in which participating churches have guest preachers from the other churches and institutions in Bluffton.
The guest assignments for this year are:
• Pastor Dave Plant (interim pastor of Emmanuel UCC) at English Lutheran
• Pastor Steve Yoder (First Mennonite) at St. John's UCC
• Pastor Doug Luginbill (Mennonite Memorial Home) at Emmanuel UCC
• Pastor Kevin Mohr (English Lutheran) at First Mennonite Church, and
• Pastor Carol Clements (St. John's UCC) at Mennonite Memorial Home.
"The hope and intent of this event each year is to emphasize our basic oneness in faith as the churches and Christian institutions of Bluffton serve God, this community, and the world together," said Rev. Kevin Mohr, English Lutheran pastor and BAMA president.
