Bluffton Fire Department sees 33 percent increase in calls in 2012
The 2012 statistics are out for the BFD and according to Jon Kinn, Fire Chief, there was a jump in the number of calls and runs made.
There were 107 calls made to the fire department in 2012, in contrast to the 80 calls made in 2011, a difference of 27 additional calls. In both years, the greatest number of calls were alarm related, with accident related calls being the next highest .
The months of May, June and October saw the greatest numbers when broken down, with each clocking in at eleven calls. September seemed to be the most fire-proof month, with only five calls logged.
