Edith Daft was member of Bethel Church of Christ.
Edith M. Daft, 81, of Bluffton, formerly of Ada, died Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 10:05 p.m. at Bridge Hospice Care Center at Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay.
Edith was born on October 10, 1931 in Orange Township, Hancock County, Ohio to the Leonard and Flossie (Hartman) Henry, who preceded her in death.
She married J. Robert Daft in 1951. He survives at Maple Crest Retirement Center in Bluffton.
She lived her entire married life on the family farm where she helped with the farming and raised her family. She was a member of the Bethel Church of Christ, where she taught Sunday school for many years and filled other positions. She was a ten year 4-H advisor.
Also Surviving are a son, Mark (Cathy) Daft of Rural Ada; a daughter, Donna (Jay) Bosse of Rural Bluffton; son-in-law, Kenneth Rader of Lima; ten grandchildren: Lee (Carole) Daft, Kelly (Jacob) Huber, Ty (Bethany) Daft, Beau (Amanda) Daft, Janet (Ben) Simms, Andy (Sarah) Rader, Cheri (Kory) Hubbell, Michelle (Justin) Craig, Brooke (Jason) Bormuth & Kimberly (Isaac) Hughes; eighteen great-grandchildren; two brothers: Harold (Clarice) Henry and Delbert (JoAnn) Henry both of Ada; a sister, Twila (Robert) Wagner of Ada.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Martha Rader who died on May 6, 2002.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, January 23, at Bethel Church of Christ, 4014 County Road 304, Ada, with Ministers Brandon Mayden and Harrison Underwood officiating.
Burial will be in Hasson Cemetery in Jenera, Ohio.
Friends may call 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, January 22, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Bethel Church of Christ, Ada.
