Bluffton Diamond Sports says "Play Ball"; spring-summer registration starts soon
Although it’s only January Bluffton Diamond Sports is thinking about spring and summer baseball and softball.
Registration forms are being distributed this weekend in the Bluffton schools. A copy of the form is also an attachment to this story. Forms are also available at the elementary and middle school offices during school hours and also available at the turn-in locations.
The Diamond Sports season for most teams runs from the end of April to mid June.
Bluffton Diamond Sports covers:
• Boys – age groups 7-8, 9-10, 11-12 and junior high
• Girls – age groups 8-10, 11-13 and junior high
Age groups are based on a player’s age as of June 1, 2013
As a point of interest, T-ball played during the summer is handled by BFR Sports and Fitness, not Diamond Sports.
Completed forms may be turned in based on the following schedule:
Tuesday, Feb. 12 – 6 to 8 p.m. BHS gym entrance
Friday, Feb. 15 – 6 to 8 p.m., BHS gym entrance
Saturday, Feb. 16 – 9 a.m. to noon, BHS gym entrance
Persons may also mail completed forms with fees included by Feb. 23 to:
Bluffton Diamond Sports
750 E. College Ave.
Bluffton, OH 45817
An early-bird registration fee is $45 for the first child, $40 for the second and $35 for the third. The early-bird fee ends Feb. 25. After that fees are $50 for the first child, $45 for the second and $40 for the third. After Feb. 25 players will be accepted only if space is available on a team.
Persons with questions may direct them to Erinn Prater, 419-369-4191.
