Abstract painting exhibit to open Feb. 4
Abstract paintings by Austin Cartwright will be on exhibit beginning Monday, Feb. 4, in the Grace Albrecht Gallery of Bluffton University’s Sauder Visual Arts Center.
The exhibit is free and open to the public through March 1. Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays and 1 p.m. - 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. The gallery will host a reception with the artist from 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 10.
Cartwright, from Fort Wayne, Ind., earned a bachelor’s degree in studio art from the University of St. Francis and, in 2010, a master’s degree in fine art from Bowling Green State University. He has shown his work locally and regionally, winning several awards in juried exhibitions.
