February is for celebrating Bluffton Public Library with free activities and treats for all
February is Library Lovers' Month, a month for celebrating how wonderful to have a thing that is a library.
Bluffton Public Library is teaming up with several Bluffton businesses and the Friends of the Library to celebrate.
The library has crafted several different ways patrons can celebrate the library.
The week includes:
Every afternoon a different treat!
Feb. 11-15, visitors to the library can indulge in free refreshments from 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.
Treats will be provided by:
- The Food Store
- Common Grounds Coffeehouse,
- Community Markets,
- Shirley's Gourmet Popcorn and
- The Friends of the Library
Free movies
- Feb. 5 - The Love Bug at 3:15 p.m.
- Feb.14 - Pitch Perfect at 5:45 p.m
- Feb. 21 -The Talk of the Town at 1 p.m
Free refreshments will be served while supplies last. No registration is required.
“Wee Ones” family storytime for babies, toddlers, and siblings
Saturday, February 16, 10 a..m.
Advance registration is requested
The first 12 families to register and attend will receive a new picture book.
Storytime will be followed by free cookie decorating sponsored by the Bluffton Icon.
Library lovers of all ages may “Share the Love” during the month by donating $1 or more to personalize a heart to display in the library.
- Donors will be entered into a drawing for a $25 iTunes gift card, courtesy of Community Markets.
Anyone aged 16 or older will have an opportunity to shape the library’s future programs and events by completing a survey during February.
- Everyone who completes a survey will be entered into a drawing for a $25 gift card, courtesy of The Food Store.
All proceeds benefit the library, which continues to operate with state funding cuts that exceed 25 percent.
Additional opportunities to share your love of the library include joining the Friends of the Library, hosting a program or participating in the Friends’ golf scramble on June 1.
