More Keeping Active Free programs at BFR
The fifth week of Keeping Active’s free fitness and nutritional programs is underway at BFR Sports & Fitness.
The week will feature a $10 CouponDay, plus free walking days, exercise classes and demonstrations.
Several fitness classes will be offered free to current as well as new attendees.
- The Saturday morning Zumba © Fitness class will be free on Saturday. Feb. 16 at 9 a.m. Instructor for the class is Kim Fritsch. Zumba © classes are designed for all ages and fitness levels and incorporate Latin-style music with dance movements for an excellent cardio-vascular workout.
- Monday, Feb. 18 will feature another free session of TBC (Total Body Conditioning) from 6 p.m. - 6:30pm. This session will use kettle bell weights for most of the class; a new kettle bell fitness class will be introduced in March.
- Older adults are invited to attend the Thursday. Feb. 21st session of Strength & Flex at 10 a.m. The Strength & Flex class is led by Jackie Frey and includes chair-based yoga movements for flexibility plus chair-based weight training.
- The YogaFit © class is also offered free on Friday, Feb. 22 at 8:30am. Susan Sheehan is the instructor. YogaFit© is a fitness class based on the movements of yoga and is held by candlelight to create a relaxing atmosphere.
- Free time for physical activity will be open Pre-school Play on Friday, Feb. 15 from 11 a.m -noon, and adult basketball on Friday, Feb. 22 from 12 p.m. - 1 p.m.
- The MS/HS Open Soccer session will be free of charge on Wed. Feb. 20 from 3:30 p.m.-5 p.m. Free use of the indoor track will be available during all building hours on Monday. Feb. 18, Tuesday., Feb. 19, and Sunday. Feb. 24.
- Bluffton University dietetics graduate students will make a presentation about healthy snack options for youth on Friday, Feb. 15 at 11 a.m. Bring your children to the open play session and stop by the display to learn more about healthy snack options.

Coupon Day will be held on Sun. Feb. 17 from 1-5pm. Customers will receive a $10 discount off program fees, memberships and services that are purchased that day.

BFR is a private, non-profit organization providing sport and fitness options for all ages. All BFR programs are open to the public; membership is required to use the fitness center,
